Black Unity camp in Grand Park is being cleared out by @LASDHQ.
Sheriff’s deputies are not letting me get anywhere near the camp.
Just heard a shot fired near the camp.
Three LASD buses have just arrived in front of City Hall.
Black Unity sources say a lot of the encampment managed to disperse before the arrests started.
Deputies are now going through the encampment with flashlights and looking for any Black Unity protesters still in Grand Park.
Black Unity protesters and legal observers say no one’s been arrested yet. They’re shouting at LASD and LAPD, which is assisting the sheriffs.
A flatbed carrying what seems like 6-ft. metal fencing has arrived.

On the other side of the park, there’s a lot of metal clanging akin to construction noise, although whether the deputies are actually tearing the camp down or not is unclear.
Two LASD trucks, one of which has some sort of large vehicle ramp on the rear, arrives at City Hall. Waiting to see what’s inside.
The sheriffs just brought a LOT more fences. Perhaps they’re planning to fence the entirety of Grand Park closed?

Meanwhile, sheriffs bring out what appear to be two blue carts. What they’re for, I do not know.
LAPD officers guarding City Hall steps look extremely bored watching LASD deploy the fencing. The police does not have jurisdiction over Grand Park — the sheriff does.
Too tired to stay out. I’ll come back later to see what they do with the park and what remains of the camp there.
I’m back in Civic Center. @LASDHQ has fenced shut not only Grand Park but also the City Hall south lawn.
Over the fence, workers are dismantling the camp piece-by-piece and loading them onto dump trucks.

LAPD officers at City Hall say they fenced the south lawn off because the camp would have migrated there otherwise.
