This is a thread.
Earlier this week you might have seen a few articles about #Festival2022 - which the UK press have dubbed the 'Festival Of Brexit'.

Which is fair enough. A festival about Brexit, the most divisive thing to happen to us in our lifetime, orchestrated by total cunts, would be an utter shit-show.
But #Festival2022 isn't a festival of Brexit. It's £120m, ringfenced for the arts, at a time when we need it the most

#Festival2022 (a working title, I refuse to put the 'UK' in there) is organised by Martin Green- who oversaw Danny Boyle's Olympic ceremonies, & ran Hull's City of Culture programme.

They asked me to be a Creative Advisor for the R&D process. I said yes.

I'm part of an amazing, forward thinking team - including @MagicMagid @AdamKoszary @TheWhitePube @Nwando @Bobby_Seagull @Bishi_Official. We're gonna have input on what should go forward.
It's not gonna be tea-parties, bunting & James Cordon juggling on a unicycle w/ Ed Sheeran.

VITALLY, this R&D process is about funding 30 teams £100k each to develop creative ideas for public engagement.
Of these 30 teams, 10 will be selected as festival events.
Even if your team doesn't get selected, there's an opportunity for good folks to get ideas off the ground.

YOU should put together a team, and create ART that makes change.
It needs to be centred around the arts, and consist of at least a few minds across the STEAM sector.
What idea could you get off the ground with £100k?

In case anyone is in any doubt: I hate Brexit, i hate Tories, i hate the monarchy, & i hate being part of the United Kingdom.
Also you should know that all 4 governments are in support of this thing. Yes, including the Scottish Government.
Get a team together, and apply.

There will be those that say this is just propaganda for Brexit, it's just Brexit-Fest rebranded, whatever.
I honestly couldn't give a shit about all that miserable bollocks.
This is our money. We should make sure it's going to projects that are about GOOD SHIT.

Thanks for reading this thread. I'll probably get sacked now, hahaha.
I've limited the replies so that the thread can stick together, and so that i'm not overwhelmed by folks hurling abuse at me.
