I'll tell you where it all went wrong with the BBC. It was the crude and stupid way they dealt with the referendum, is anyone can remember that far back
At all time the BBC should stick to legal fact. They can report political ambition or desire, of course.
But for intention and realism you have to ground yourself in fact.
Now, what was the legal fact of the referendum? Not posture, but raw fact.

The fact was that no legal provision had been made to implement any referendum result, nor any definition of legitimate majority.

Absolutely fuck all.
And they should have demanded of every government minister, every Tory MP, to know what they intended to do with any particular result there might be.
But instead of doing that they chose to run around wetting their knickers.
"Boris. Boris. Can I kiss your botty, Boris? Can I kiss the Boris botty, can I?"

It was quite disgusting to watch, and you were there, you remember.
I am never letting the BBC forget this. Their "journalism" was so bad that after months of talking about it, after six weeks of formal campaigning, the BBC didn't have a fucking clue what the result meant when they heard it.
This is how dreadful BBC political journalism has become.
Nobody knew what they had just voted for.
This has been my criticism of the BBC for years. It is their absolute, smug, satisfied incompetence.
They are so blind ignorant they don't even realise there is a job they should be doing.
The BBC has abandoned any duty to represent legal fact, in favour of instant repetition of the most imbecile political posturing, which has information value of precisely fuck all.
And here's something. For the last four years even I have been able to tell more accurately what's going on than almost the entire English media.

And it's worth noting how I did that.
I've been able to predict how the Brexit negotiations were going to end up by the almost fantastical and unheard of magic of listening to what the European Union was saying.
The European Union is not a secretive organisation. Everything I've learnt from Brexit I've learnt from them.
In fact the only thing I've learnt from English journalists - I mean genuinely learnt of new knowledge - are technical details of law and parliamentary procedure.

Of Brexit itself, nothing that I didn't learn first from reading European news.
That's what's wrong with English political journalism. It's completely ignorant of the outside world and CONTENT TO BE SO
