Unpopular Opinion but Celebrities aren't perfectionists or activists. You can't expect them to speak on every single thing that happens, you'll be setting yourself for disappointment only. If you do have high expectations, then I'd Stan an activist rather than a rich person. +

And no offense but something huge happens every single day unfortunately. More than half of which you don't even find out unless you're active on social media 24/7 because the general media doesn't cover it. Spreading awareness is great, but you can't expect the same for others

A huge problem is that the issues you want celebs to speak up about, are mainly Americanised. You don't care about the rest of the world, I have never seen anyone urging Celebrities to speak up about issues that happen in say Asia. Hell, half of you keep shut about it.

Unless it's centered around America, you don't deem a world problem worthy of your time. But you do infact expect Celebrities to speak about every single issue which is hypocrisy at its finest. I wouldn't have found out about more than half the things if I wasn't active here.

The mainstream Media doesn't cover shit. And Celebrities aren't on Stan twitter or whatever. As far as I see it, using their platform to spread awareness is great but the second you start thinking of them as activists, a problem arises. They won't speak up about everything.

Their main job is to entertain us, create that content. Do I wish they would use their platform to spread awareness?? Heck yes, who won't? Do I expect them to? No because I don't want to be dissappointed. You expect any famous person, even if they're like 12 to be

Aware of every single thing in the world, to have worldly knowledge, to know every single thing. Which is practically impossible. So some people on here need to change their expectations or simply start Stanning an activist if they expect all of that

For reference, when that police brutality case happened here in India, I literally sent it to all my GCs, hoping some of my Moots would speak up. I saw like 4 non-desi people talk about it. If that happened anywhere but here, you would have long ago cancelled people for not
