Calling the bombing war crimes shows a massive ignorance to history and the actual depth of destruction from WWII.
The allies dropped almost 3 million tons of bombs in Europe - and they are still finding unexploded bombs to this day.

Japan as well - Tokyo was hit by over 1,600 tons of bombs, killing roughly 100,000.

The bombs that hit Hiroshima and Nagasaki, by comparison, killed roughly 200,000 together. They were also detonated above the target, so fallout was minimal and radiation sickness only
the ones who were in the blast area and survived. The amount of damage and the death toll on Japan were comparable to conventional bombings.

The results of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were not some irradiated horror like Fallout games, but had similar results to most firebomb cities.
There is a lot of ignorance when it comes to WWII.
