to guard you ONLY at the rim & 3PT line. That MASSIVE area of open space around the elbows or short corner? Literally wide open. The Rockets catch the ball there & won’t even look at the rim. They get flown off the 3 & won’t even THINK about a 1-2 dribble pull-up.

There is a path for a team w Harden, Russ, & a lot of good role players to win. But it’s long past time for @TilmanJFertitta to try a more traditional
mind in the FO. I think MDA walks/5

under his own power. Then let the new GM hire a coach - maybe JVG, Joeger, etc - who can blend SOME of the smallball elements w some common sense, some post-ups, some midrange, etc.
