I'm going to solve a mystery for many of you:

Why do I posses objects made from Tungsten?

A rather dense material.

Slightly denser than Uranium 238.

Heavy shit, in other words.

Here's why...
I need to rehab my hand in order regain full strength and dexterity. I need dexterity in my hands to do my job.

I'm a laboratorian.

So, I bought these to help with that:
Since they are so dense, they are a significant challenge to manipulate, but small enough to still do so.
There is also an added benefit. The thermal mass of Tungsten is so high for such small objects, that they stay warm for a very long time.

This is neat because you can warm them on your stove, and then put them in a towel and manipulate them..
that way while they are still too hot to touch directly.

So, why two different objects?

The larger sphere is to build strength and provide a challenge to my hand:
And the smaller cube is for fine motor control:
BTW, nobody gave me this idea.

It just seemed like a logical thing to try.

And yes, this is my damaged right hand in the pictures.

I'm making pretty decent progress so far.

I hope this explains a few things.

Cheers and thank you for being such amazing people!
