track 1 - All I Really Want

A plead for a relationship that means something and a connection with someone that can provide them. It's a scream to the failure of neoliberalism.

8-10.
track 2 - You Oughta Know

A eulogy to a failed relationship viewed through the lens of the envy brought on by knowledge of your ex taking a new lover.

A 'fuck you' to relationships that meant everything to you but nothing to them.

10/10.
track 3 - Perfect

a ballad about blaming yourself for the faults that others find in you. sonically a bit dull but thematically powerful.

6/10
track 4 - Hand in My Pocket

an ode to new beginnings - a prayer to the lived experience - an anthem for living in the moment and never giving up. It's joyous. A masterpiece. She'll never top it.

10/10
track 5 - Right Through You

Another rambuncious fuck you to the people who only want to abuse us and use us for their own ends.
Again sonically uninteresting but emotionally powerful.

5/10
track 6 - Forgiven

An angry testament against the guilt and shame we are forced to believe - maybe not as angry as it could have been but it’s frustrated and regretful? It thematically fits the rest of the album

6/10
track 7 - You Learn

An ode to not letting your mistakes define you - but also not regretting them and realising they’re a part of the entirety of your existence.

8/10
track 8 - Head over Feet

An anthem about about falling in love when you weren’t expecting it - catchy and singable - it maintains the themes of distrust and wariness in the face of emotional vulnerability. Powerful and exceptional.

9/10
