OFFICIAL: Arsenal beat Fulham 3-0 in the opening day of the Premier League 2020/21 campaign.

Goals came from Alexandre Lacazette, new boy Gabriel Magalhães and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

We also saw new signing Willian grab two assists.

Brilliant performance by Arsenal.

Arteta on Gabriel: "Ideally I wanted to give him some time because he’s only trained a few days with the team & he hasn't played a competitive match in 6 months, so there was a risk of injury, but credit to him because he performed really well, he felt good & he was a handful"

Mikel Arteta on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s contract extension: “I think I am really positive we’re going to get it done very soon. Hopefully in the next few days, we can get some news.”

Mikel Arteta on Alexandre Lacazette: “He’s in my plans. He’s a player I like a lot. He knows he has Eddie [Nketiah] on his back or next to him, to push him. Whoever is in better shape is going to play. The same for the rest of the team.”

Alexandre Lacazette: “I’m really happy [At Arsenal]. It’s only the press who say I’m not happy and they want me to leave. Me, from the beginning, I’m happy with Arsenal. I want to play and win titles like last month. I’m happy with Arsenal.”

Alexandre Lacazette on Mikel Arteta: “He wants us to be perfect. We work a lot in the week for this kind of game because we know it’s really important for the season. We have respect for what he wants.”

Rio Ferdinand on Gabriel Magalhães: "He's looked very, very, very sound and very solid. So hopefully more of that to come from Arsenal’s perspective. Gabriel has all the attributes you want to see in a centre-back"
