...my period caused me dysphoria, so I guess I'd like NOT to be memorialized or made to feel powerful.

I'd like my discomfort to be understood and not swept away with a blithe "no, sweetie, this is a GOOD thing, it means you're becoming a WOMAN." https://twitter.com/Raquel_Savage/status/1304873846961508357
We absolutely need to normalize periods so that cis people can recognize childhood dysphoria for what it is and not confuse it with shame and misogyny.

It's just that the normalization needs to not, like, run roughshod over the dysphoria. And that's the tricky part.
I reckon I'd like periods to be treated like other basic bodily functions like ejaculation, pooping, peeing, and nose emissions. Normal things that have hygienic practices attached to them.
And that doesn't even get into the folks who have abnormally painful periods but can't get doctors or adults to listen to them because "periods are supposed to hurt a little".
Anyway, as a first step I propose harsh legal penalties to anyone with one of those "don't trust anything that bleeds for three days" bumper stickers I see around here. 🙄
Also: period products need to be plentiful and free, and folks need to admit that mooncups aren't right for everyone.
I'd like better education around periods too, so I didn't spend decades not realizing that my back pain intensifies around my period (and instead looked for some other cause).
