This was the topic on which the "smart" conservative policy commentators were the most huffily disingenuous for YEARS.
They were full of shit, they were full of shit when they denied being full of shit, and once they took control of the government and showed everyone they were full of shit, they just stopped talking about healthcare altogether.
While "repeal and replace" was a lie, my favorite bullshit GOP health policy phrase is "patient-centered health care" because it doesn't mean anything at all. It is, as they say on Veep, noise-shaped air.
