A needed thread of BLACKPINK ( @BLACKPINK ) being role models for girl groups and female idols and paving the way for female artists in a male dominated industry (a big reminder♡) :
Before i start i’ll list a few stuff out of hundreds of things blackpink has achieved while being the first ever female group do to them.
Blackpink made history with their billboard chart entries and not just for kpop girl groups but for girl groups in general and broke records that haven’t been broken in decades
Blackpink made history and topped the Singer Brand Reputation Ranking in July 2018. They were the first girl group to ever do this.
and just a week ago Jennie made history for being the first ever female idol to have the #1 spot in the idol brand reputation ranking which is all male dominated.
Now onto all the beautiful female idols that feels inspired by Blackpink and looks up to them which is way more important than achievements ever will be.
Everglow ( every member from this group loves Blackpink and looks up to them) theyre going to have their comeback on september 21 please show them lots of love and support!!
here’s everglow dancing to dddd
Jian from Lunar Solar said she looks up to Jennie.
"Jennie is changing into a different image in every album and showing versatility from fashion to CF”

Esther Yu a Chinese actor and singer and currently a member of a Chinese girl group THE9 is the biggest blink and has constantly talked about how much Blackpink inspires her
This goes to show Blackpink is not only inspiring girl groups in korea but all over the world globally and opening doors for so many young women by becoming first of so many things for women.
Lastly, I wanted to add how Blackpink got where they are now. They had “paving ways” for them and where they are now is all because of their hardwork.
BLACKPINK debuted with the songs "Boombayah" and "Whistle." Which went no.1 and no.2 on the billboard world digital song charts They were the first K-pop act to debut at No. 1 and are the only debut in the Top 2 spots
Blackpink managed to make it under the bubbling under charts for As if it’s your last when they were only rookies and they didn’t have any US promo at all.
Without even making their US debut or having any type of US promo. Ddu Du Ddu Du became the highest charting single for a kpop girl group and the most viewed music video for a kpop group in 24 Hours if it’s time.
blackpink a 2 year old group with 5 songs, no album and no US promo managed achieve all of this so don’t you dare discredit them and act like someone else had to open the doors for them.
So many young female idols have named Blackpink as their inspiration and someone they look up to. Jennie acknowledges them wants to continue inspiring them and working harder and if you think there’s anything wrong in that, that’s on you.
please feel free to add more female idols who’ve looked up to blackpink in the replies I know i missed a lot I just wanted to get this done quickly and please remember, MEN CANT PAVE THE WAY FOR WOMEN.
conclusion: BLACKPINK PAVED THEIR OWN WAY
since people think it was easy for Blackpink because they were under a big 3 company here’s Jennie talking about the things she had to go through during her trainee days (she did this for 7 years)
The girls had to leave behind their entire life and say goodbye to their friends and families because most of them are from a different country and they were all teenagers at the time too
They were all younger than 16 and had to live on their own in an apartment filled with roaches and had to deal with all the scary things on their own. Is this the big 3 privilege you speak of?
