I’m gonna put all the things I didn’t notice before in this thread (bc it was a lot to take in and I’m dying from feels all over again) #SPOILERS

so In Timeline II (2) (where despite xChara‘s attachment xG killed Asgore to add drama of death) there was only a flash of it but apparently Cross was implied to be the first to be seriously hurt or killed(?)??? By xG??? since xFrisk got attached to Cross in that chapter too....

the incident with the tree branch in Timeline X (10) was like a foreshadowed instance of Cross trying to do something right and prove his worth but someone had already set him up for failure and he felt immense guilt over it......ahahah hahah (poor poor cross)

this thought might be kind of a stretch but i was kinda getting the vibe of Cross (X) being thematically comparable to X from megamanX... at least xG’s comments about paying attention to Cross for being a wildcard element against adversity kinda felt like -
an Easter egg reference to the thematic motif in mmx about “X being a representation of the unknown and bringer of new possibilities”.....which sorta ties back to all this stuff about xG and the “xevent” being about exploration about new possibilities
(I also had a thought about how Killer from his origin lores was also born out of an eventual desire of trying new things (just that things went terribly for Cross)....so in the stories/fics where they interact in some ways maybe they can have that kind of innate connection
also Timeline III (3) with queen xToriel which existed for only two days was definitely a clone of swapverse......where he had traumatic reaction to it in UVerse (does this mean Cross got to dress up as cute little brother for two whole days(???) o___o unthinkable......
but also it seems like Cross does wear that style of scarf that’s tied at the back often enough too outside Timeline III (3) (which makes him looks like classic swapstyle sans style) anyways.....o__o

also I have the largest hunch xChara might get a redemption arc so him and Cross can reluctantly work together to fix the mess caused by xG and Ink at some point
(bc despite everything else they have thematic similarities about never giving up and shonen protag-like qualities 🤣

AND THE ENDINGSFJD,, IM JUST NOT OVER TJE ENDINGS,, THE ENTIRE SEQUENCE??? EXPOSITON OF HIM INTERACTING WITH INK??? about how he prolly confessed missing his friends and family and thought ink understood??,,.....laughed with Ink??? thought ink cared??? and -
then his hopes and dreams just got intensively tossed into the gutters I’m not over how much that must have devastated him .... while from Ink’s side Ink clearly looked guilty when Cross talked about his friends and family.... -
which looked to me might be some abstractly complicated feelings about how he was complicit in Cross’s suffering even now even if he doesn’t fully understand...... (and ink even brought Cross a little taco in one of the pics...... .....), but -
- when Cross got strung up by Error Ink didn’t hesitate to come back to help him afterall even after Cross essentially had an unfair blowup at him blaming him for what he can’t do
