Stripped down it costs us about $75k a month to make @TowerTheatreOKC work. That’s a $150k for 8 weeks which was what the PPP was designed for. So let me break this all down for you in 8 week segments. #PPP #EIDL #SaveOurStages #RESTARTAct 1/8
March - April:
We got about $150k from #PPP. Thanks again to @CitizensEdmond and @JillCastilla for being on top of this! We weren’t sure what was going to happen so we were careful. Kept core staff, reduced salaries. Tried to work with debtors, etc. 2/8

May - June:
The #EIDL got us another $150k. Although originally we qualified for $1.6M. Midway the money started running out. They suddenly capped it. A devastating shock.This would have bought us serious time and resources to adapt. About 80 weeks actually. 3/8

July - Aug:
The @cityofokc and @theallianceokc launch programs. Thank you!Between 2 rounds we qualified for $178k. This excess let us bring some people back to full time and prepare for resuming operations. Spend some $ on COVID measures. Resulting in our show last night. 4/8

Sept - Oct:
The @cityofokc launches a venue specific program. I actually tear up every time I think about this. We qualify for the full $250k. No word yet. We pull off a show and make about $1500 all said and done. With that being said let’s think about that for a second. 5/8

Nov - Dec:
Making $1500 dollars a show means we need to execute 100 shows every 8 weeks or approx 60 days. At normal capacity this meant 10 shows for the same period. Shows booked for this period, 0. Quite the perspective isn’t it? This is why we say we still need help. 6/8

2021:
The word on the street is indoor shows won’t be possible at the scale necessary. Venues have closed all over the country including #okc. All of this works as an ecosystem. Our city saved us, for now. Others won’t be so lucky. All ships rise with the tide, they sink too. 7/8
