I've been saying this since Day 1, but today Reki popped off.
SAO's philosophy of Human souls is really interesting and probably one of my favorite examples of artificial intelligence in fiction tbh.
Alice has been my Top 1 from the start for this reason.
Alice is a multilayered conundrum.
She isn't just a Fluctlight.
She's an fake Fluctlight that took over a Fluctlight's virtual body.
The level of existentialism behind Alice is twice as much as any in the Underworld.
She's a fake of a fake

At least that's what she thought before
Because of her experiences in the Underworld, she has begun to pose the entire world a question.
What is reality?
Who started it all?
The chicken and the egg paradox lol
Alice has proved time and time again that she's just like any other human. She loves and feels, yet until now has denied her own feelings because she has denied her own existence as a reality.
But today we see her accepting her own existence.
She can't be rewritten using code.
She has a personality.
She grew up and has had her own life and thoughts.
And this last episode is going to be insane.
The Fluctlights are Going to protect their own reality.
AI protecting themselves from the humanity in the real world.
Discrimination has been a key aspect of the morals in Underworld, but now we see this aspect portrayed in reality.
The perfect compliment to Alice's character is Vecta.

Alice is a fake human soul without a body.
Vecta has a human body, but is a man with no soul.

What is a human? Is it the body or the soul?

Is Vecta more human or Alice?
