That doesn’t mean you have ownership over it. You’re a staffer. Your job is to execute on the political vision of the candidate which voters have or have not decided to support. Them not doing what you want isn’t them being mean to you. You’re not on the ticket...
No one is voting for you, they are voting for the candidate. If you don’t agree with the politics of the candidate... quit! If you think they aren’t executing on their own vision properly... advise! But don’t leak to the media they didn’t do what you wanted so they are evil.
