harassed just for existing. if that’s politics to you then you really need to check yourself and your privilege. you’re right, anime is for escapism but we know when to come back to reality and address issues that are happening to ppl inside AND outside our anime community.
not to mention a lot of the politics that goes on in a lot of people’s countries can end up affecting people’s lives, and it’s ppls lives before anime every single moment.
