Last night HGTV aired a television program which represented the greatest lie ever told.

Up front we are told that we will be seeing a Lakefront Estate versus an Uptown Mansion.

Come along for the ride.

We're told they bought the Uptown house.
We are told they bought the house for $950k and the lot next door for $280k.

But here's where the lies are clear.

The house sold in June 2020 to somebody who clearly wasn't our two actors.

And the enormous double lot next door that they bought for an insanely implausibly low $280k? Owned by HANO (Housing Authority of New Orleans).
And some sleuthing from @dcfhockeyfoo found the house they actually bought for ~300k in Jan 2019.
Anyhow, if you can't trust the producers at HGTV to be honest with us who can we trust?
