In return, if the position of Greece, firmly backed by France, remains that the only problem is the continental shelf issue and nothing else can be discussed because they pertain to the sovereign rights of Greece, then we are stuck.
So if France and the EU are sincere in their calls for dialogue, they should revisit their position about the scope of this dialogue.
The current position is tantamount to the EU placing itself in the shoes of an international court and ruling ex ante that it is Turkey that violates Greek sovereignty.
That can only be decided by an international court. It is exclusively this instance that is empowered to interpret international law. Parties that are really sincere in their desire to facilitate a settlement should stop pretending that the EU can do it in lieu of an intl court.
