A friend who is a dad of daughters recently tweeted asking for advice *from women specifically* what their dads did that made them feel loved and cared for. A lot of dads replied to say “daddy-daughter dates.” I didn’t see a single woman give that answer. I found that interesting
Nothing against daddy-daughter dates. I took my girls when they were little out for such things. One-on-one time is great at every age. But it’s revealing *of something* (not sure what) that that wasn’t even a common counsel from women.
Want to reiterate again this observation is not a knock on daddy-daughter dates at all. Please don’t read it that way. But I just found the contrast notable and in some way instructive
