This accumilated in 2015 on a family trip to spain weighing in at my heaviest weight 125kg /275lbs
I was miserable, I felt terrible physically and emotionally and something had to change
I stumbled across a book by Penn Jillette

I read this book on my Ipad on vacation and it flied in the face of things I believed:
1.) I needed exercise to lose weight
2.) I needed to count caloreis
3.) I needed to follow a diet like atkins
All I knew was I needed a new mindset and I needed to do things differently

I decided to go on a Detox for 2 weeks, eating on potatoes.
YES it is crazy and I have no good reason other than WTF Penn did it, how bad can it be?
On the contrary it was best thing(for me) to do, 14 days of eating potatoes reset my body

I stopped craving sugar, milk, bread
I was in control of my hunger and in this time I was reading and read Joel Fuhrman: Eat to Live
I adopted a 80% vegetable diet
No processed carbs
No processed sugars

Intermittent Fasting
I also started a fasting protocol to help lower my blood sugar, make me more sensitive to insulin and help drive food discipline
I started with 18 hours and added 1 hour every week until I reached 24 hours and I have continued to extend my fast.

I am up to my longest fast at 89 hours but I slowly built up for a year a fasting protocol
24 hours once a week
48 hours once a month
Building to a 5 day fast every quarter

I love food and fasting seems counterintuitive
Fasting has done me great - I love the idea of not being bound to food. Like I don't have to eat
- I am better disciplined
- Food tastes better
- Good Health benefits with prolonged fasting
- Strangly more energy + alertness

So my week looks like this
Mon - Thurs: 2 meals a day - 80/20 prinicple
Thur - Fri: Fast 24 hours
Sat - Sun: 2 meals a day - 80/20 prinicple
No counting calories, no weighing food

I exercise because I love to exercise. There are many health benefits to exercise.
EXERCISE is not needed for weight loss.
In Fact you can loss as much weight as you like without exercise. It is true, I have done it.

I bought a fitbit to get 10,000 steps a day and track my sleep.
I try to get a good night sleep everynight. Sleep is the cornerstone of weightlose
Feeling good is an important part of weightloss and lack of sleep ruins this.
