Thread: How to keep Smoke out of your house (chime in):
1-Check bathroom vent fans, smoke may be coming thru, If so, tape up with painters tape
2 -Check fireplace, often smoke can leak thru, even if the flue is closed. Consider using large cardboard and painters tape to seal off

3-Check kitchen hood vent fan, smoke may be leaking in.
4-Check seals around entry doors, change out as needed, if you see light, you have smoke issues.
5-Learn what the MERV ratings are. Change out air filter for central air.

6-Understand how Charcoal filters are needed to reduce smoke, air purifier or home central air.
7-Understand that turning on bathroom fan or kitchen vent fan may cause MORE smoke to be pulled into home from unseen cracks around home (negative air pressure)

8-If you have ceiling lights embedded above, they need to be sealed with insulation foam, esp if you have an exposed attic. This was a big one for us.
9-If you have windows that are leaking in smoke, use painters tape to seal off edges. Later, slowly remove to reduce paint damage.
