Two things on this:
1) He's not wrong on the consent stipulation - but the issue is zero sum in the Brexit environment - and this again offers no solution just moaning about the EU and nationalists
2) More importantly, a MAJORITY of people in Northern Ireland support the WA https://twitter.com/mattuthompson/status/1304345075351248896

Also while it's correct to say the GFA does not mention a trade barrier it does talk about creating an all-island economy, which is now more advanced that it was in 1998, how will this be protected under the hardest of Brexits?
Furthermore, the British Government has had FOUR years now at least - FOUR years - and still has not come up for a solution to this. NONE. FOUR YEARS. NO PLAN. FOUR YEARS. And the closest to it was the May plan which the hardline sabotaged. Own your shit.
Don't like the Irish Protocol? Well then, create
a) An alternative
b) Which will work that
c) All sides will consent to.
Most whingers only occasionally get to a) and certainly never to b)

So we have Steve Baker going on about fucking blockchain. Four years, lads? And this is the best you can do? Fuck off, you had no plan for this and now you are stuck with one you hate which you only agreed to in order to win an election and now find you can't fuck with easily.
And don't get me started on how the EU and Ireland have used the border 'in bad faith'. I mean, Jesus Fucking Christ. Remember back in 2016 during the campaign when Theresa Villiers, then NI SoS, said Brexit would change nothing about the border? Was that 'good faith'?
Or during the first stage of Exit talks when Bravermann, Davis and the DUP(!) among others agreed to the Backstop so to get to the second stage of talks and then sabotaged the backstop and claimed it was not 'real Brexit' when it came to a parliamentary vote. Was that good faith?
Or when Boris signed the Withdrawal Agreement which stated clearly there was a border in the Irish Sea and the DUP rebelled against him but he won a eighty seat majority on THE VERY BASIS he would pass that agreement, and is now trying to renege on it. Was that 'good faith'?
All along the Tories have said they don't want a hard border (Nigel "Put the wall up" Lawson being an exception) yet have constantly sabotaged EVERY SINGLE PROPOSAL to allow trade and people flow across the border as currently or even close to currently.
Also don't fucking start on how the Withdrawal Agreement breaks the Good Friday Agreement by checking E-W checks, and does created N-S checks *not* do this then. Please explain.
No, "Don't do anything" is not a serious answer.
