1995: OKC Murrah building bombing. Rumors of Whitewater investigation documents destroyed and secondary devices within the building. Engineers that evaluated the building: Gene Corley, Charles Thornton, Mete Sozen, and Paul Mlakar.

In 1996, James Comey acted as deputy special counsel to the Senate Whitewater Committee. Same year, He also was the lead prosecutor in the case concerning the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia.

Immediatly after 9/11, Comey is moved into the position as Comey was the United States attorney for the Southern District of New York since he was needed there.
