Warning mentions of murder, violence and police brutality
Colombia is dealing with police brutality and riots.

Javier Humberto Ordoñez a father and lawyer died two days beaten to death in the street by the Colombian police leaving behind 2 children, 15 & 11 years old.
The police accused him of breaking social distancing rules

He was arrested pinned down and tased several times A video went viral of that moment and you can hear him begging

“Please no more!”

His friend of him brought him to the hospital and by the time they arrived he died
The officers involved in the arrest have been suspended but rightfully people are angry and mad. Just two days ago 9people have been killed by the police. The have been reportedly 162 cases of police abuse in Colombia. People had enough and now have riots
Last year the police was also discredited, because a young protester was fatally injured by a projectile that fired the riot police. Then there was massive protests against the government's economic policy.
Even during the 2019 National Strike, which killed four people, the protests didn't cause that much violence. Even during that wave of protests, including cases of police abuse, the response from the authorities has been so violent.
There also has been racial and LGBTQ+ murder and violence unfortunately and user @gxdess__ made a very resourceful and good thread explaining the situation much better then I would’ve. https://twitter.com/gxdess__/status/1304427369722253313
