The Trump response, the Republican response, the conservative response, the American response, to this deadly global pandemic has nothing to do with lives saved.

Lives saved is not the metric. Deaths prevented is not the measure of success. It's immaterial to their outcomes.
This is only possible in country that has already decided that some people have worth and others do not, that wealth is the metric of worth, and that for those without worth, life must be earned by being profitable, and for those who fail to earn it, death is the desired outcome.
