|| Nandikeshwar Linga ||

This Shivalinga, situated on the banks of Narmada River, Jabalpur.

According to the Shivpuran , here all Doshās of humans get destroyed and their atmān becomes pure, even Mokshādayani Maa Gangā herself comes...

on the seventh day of Vaishakh month every year to wash away the sins taken from humans for the welfare of the manushyā.

There are many lingas along with Nandikeshwar,according to believe who bathes here and worships Nandeshwar, becomes free from birth cycles & attain Mokshā.

According to the Puranas, a brahmin girl named Rishika married to a brahmin according to his father's will,

but as a result of earlier birth bad deeds, she got the grief of being a widow in her childhood, after which, following the Brahmacharyavrata, she started performing Tapā

in devotion of Mahadeva During the timeof her tapasyā , a demon named 'मूढ़' suffering from कामबाण started requesting Tapaswini to make relation with him by giving her many kinds of precious things.But,After being ignored that monster started abusing her...

and tried to misbehave with her in utmost anger,

Shiva Parayana द्विजपत्नि (Rishika ) Chanted the name 'Shiva' and started praying for the protection of his Brahmachārya Vratā ,

consequently the Bhakt Vatsalā Sadāsiva himself appeared and k!ll that monster .

And pleased with the devotion of the tapasvini girl, he asked her for Vardāna, ...

Rishika said,

O shiva May you grant me the utmost devotion to your feet, and stay here for the welfare of the humans .

Shiva fulfilled all her wishes ,

knowing that Shiva appeared there,Brahma, Vishnu along with goddess and devtas came there and worshipped Shiva

Mother Ganga praised Tapaswini's pure Bhākti towards Shiva and said,

O Sadhvi!

You please grant me a Promise that in the month of Vaishakh I can be here, near your Bhākti Sthāl so that one day I will get your kindness,

Tapasvini accepted !

Shiva also entered to that Pārthiv Linga created by the Sadhvi in the purest aspectif Shiva's Bhakti,from that very day the place became auspicious and Param Sukhā Dāyak Dhām of Shiva and the sight of which destroys all kinds of Doshās & man gets the ultimate happiness & Mokshā.

As per believe, here nandi got all सिद्धि, and the person who worships here will surely get the Phāla of अग्नि स्तम्भ यज्ञ ।
