I truly think that a lot of people are so confused and dazed by media messaging (or "influencers") they can't compare actual real information and experiences in the real world to what they see/hear on media (whether digital or analog).

I'll use Bernie as an example.

I started volunteering for Bernie in 2015 because I knew something was REALLY wrong. I had top students transferring and getting top grades in supposedly lucrative career fields like biotech. But they were being hired at $15 an hour or even forced to work as unpaid interns.

I listened to Bernie (I hadn't even known about him before) and thought - that guy is right - these are all the reasons everyone's quality of life and opportunities are going downhill.

I started volunteering for Bernie and there was tremendous enthusiasm.

I campaigned with "Republicans for Bernie". I went to organizing meetings at CA Democratic Committee members houses. We talked to lots of voters. Many were leery - but they all had a generally favorable impression of Bernie.

They did this to them. My daughter (this is not my blood daughter she is the next generation I will always be there for) is holding the truth right there in her hand.

It's the same with politics as it is with our personal situations. Only politics and our so-called "media" are very far behind some other areas in the way people understand them -

I think it will change and I do not think the change will come in violent form.

There's this simplistic Western idea that "progress" (or change) comes in a linear fashion, with ongoing, constant improvement. Nature should show us this is unrealistic.

There's also a simplistic Western idea that draws from mythology or tale-telling of the past.

The only change that can occur is in the NOW, the PRESENT.

We can't change the past, it is already done (though our media and education loves to hide the past).

There are correct, accurate impressions that individuals who follow both fake political "sides" have.

So Red MAGA believe that Blue MAGA politicians are sexual perverts, totally dishonest, and criminals.

This is true.

Blue MAGA believe the same of Red MAGA pols - and the only difference is, I think more Blue MAGA pols are sexual criminals. They recruit and associate with them.

Blue MAGA continuously accuse their "opposition" of that which they are EXTREMELY guilty. It isn't that there aren't sexual criminals in both of these groups - there absolutely are.

It's the peculiar hypocrisy of Blue MAGA that is baked in which is so distasteful.

But the reality is right there on the face of it.

BOTH of these groups of people are criminals.

Would anybody put a RAPIST in charge of a school?
How about a Sunday School?
Would anybody put a unreformable thief in charge of money with no supervision?

This is what we got.

Red - Blue - ALL BAD

So this is why, literally, people say "Green" we want to go Green - it's nature's color, it's the environment, it's health and life.

This WILL happen. We are just in a time with a lagging indicator which is the people who are supposedly in power or media

Believe they are totally in power (they are only there because we let them be) and we can see the evidence every day.

There could not be more difference between Bernie 2015 and Bernie 2019. I hated working for Bernie 2019. It felt bad and even the young people in it were jerks.

Bernie is just one guy like he always said. A guy who has been pretty steadfast over the years and one we can care for and not be too angry with.

I'd knuckle under to Blue MAGA gangsters too. I have a family and people who depend on me, just like Bernie. Just like everyone else.

We don't wear the same clothes people did in 1850. We don't live the same way. There's 15 times more of us than there were then (in US alone).

My favorite show right now is DRAGULA. This show would *never* have seen the light of day even 10 years ago.

Most people will not compare trends or take common patterns from one aspect of life to another. That's all I do and that is how I've been successful (unlike Blue MAGA who have to hire and pay for success ... good for u enjoy your 5* "bestsellers" Hillary! - Trump does too)

People have made huge changes in their personal lives during my lifetime. When I was born -

Women had little chance to escape abusive spouses
Gay people were DEEP in the closet and at terrible risk
Rapes were always covered up unless used as an excuse to falsely accuse Black ppl

All of those things have improved. Rapes are still covered up. Black ppl are still killed wrongfully.
We have not yet stopped the people who perpetuate all of this bad. They are MASSIVE laggers. Who has heard Clinton, Biden or Trump and thought "What are they babbling about?"

We have this idea that these people are potentially smart, or they have total smarties working for them.

They are no smarter than the rest of us and they lack a lot of skills we all possess.

But we have poor skills at looking at each other and listening. And we have self-doubt

If every one of us who are NOT violent war criminals, sex criminals, abusers, liars, thieves and various other types of abusive beast can work on these skills, we can take care of this big problem and move forward.

I can't say what's next but I can say "Time to clear the deck"
