He remembers having over 30 years of association with Ram Jethmalani as he assisted him in several important matters.

Apart from the professional association, we had good personal relations. Whenever he used to visit Hyderabad, I used to invite him to my house, and we used to discuss many things : Justice N V Ramana about Ram Jethmalani.

'I met Jethmalani in 1975 at Palghat(Kerala) at the height of emergency at a meeting by Bar Association. When Jethmalani stood up, he started a fiery speech attacking the Gandhi family, especially Sanjay Gandhi' : AG K K Venugopal.

Due to the brooding presence of emergency, people were even afraid to listen to such a diatribe. While Jethmalani was speaking, many people from the audience, including reporters, left. When I started my speech after Jethmalani, I was talking to a half-empty hall : AG Venugopal.

An arrest warrant was issued against Jethmalani over his speech at Palghat. The warrant was challenged by around 300 lawyers in Mumbai : AG Venugopal.
