I think that Caduceus telling Yasha that her chains are broken and asking her to figure out what’s holding her back will have two major implications for her. She seemed to really take it to heart and I think we all know what he was pointing her towards. #CriticalRole

Obviously I think the major thing, especially when you take into consideration his comments about her not assuming she has more time than she might actually have, is that she will use that as motivation to finally admit to Beau how she feels about her. I think that Yasha has-

known for a long time how she feels about Beau, and even though she had the dream with Zuala, she’s obviously still been holding back. Thinking about when she told Caleb that she knows how important it is to say things before it’s too late, Cad’s words probably hit home-

I think that was the push she needed in order to just go for it. She’s been avoiding it (and so has Beau) because they haven’t had much alone time and they’ve had things to do, so their focus has been elsewhere. To me, this past episode made them both realize they’re ready now.-

And I think they are both going to go for it very soon. Especially Yasha. NOW, I also think that Cad’s words will help push her to take the armor off. She is clearly preparing for it by getting that tattoo, and the moment by the chantry was also a reminder for her. I think that-

The fact that she’s still holding onto the last piece of Obann means that there’s a bit of her being held back by him and her trauma still. Which makes a lot of sense, and Cad’s words combined with the moment by the chantry might’ve been the final push she needed. I would bet-

That Yasha will take the armor off either that night in Nicodranas or very soon. She will let go of the last thing holding her back and will put on the bracers that have been waiting for her. And in many ways the bracers are symbolic of healing and of the love she has gotten-

from the M9. Fjord initially put down the money to buy those bracers for her, and she was inspired by Beau in the first place which is why she ordered them. If she takes of the armor and gets rid of her ties to Obann I think it’s beautiful that the bracers, and everything they-

represent, will be what she swaps it out for. Just another giant step in her healing process. It will be beautiful and so symbolic. And I think Caduceus will have been a major catalyst for her finally doing both of these things. I can’t wait to see how it all plays out
