Feeling alone because you are surrounded by Trump supporters and you feel like you’re the only one who doesn’t support him?
Comfort yourself with some stats. You are certainly not alone.

Look at the Civiqs polls on approval of Trump. Let’s look at the reddest, most Trump friendly places in the country.

Let’s look at Wyoming. Let’s say you are a white voter there. Everybody in your demographic loves Trump except for you, right, freak?
Not exactly.
31% of whites in WY disapprove of him. So in a room of 20 people, 6 disapprove. Outnumbered. But not alone.

Oklahoma is similar. Extremely Trump friendly. And those who don’t like him are probably not particularly vocal. But they’re there.
32% of white voters in OK disapprove of Trump. So, also, in a room of 20 white voters, six quiet people aren’t on board.

Arkansas is Trumpism on steroids (or maybe just on Trump Vodka). It’s amazing to remember that it was a blue state just 24 years ago. But then again, Trump was a Democrat just 11 years ago, so maybe not.
Anyway ...

In Arkansas, only 23% of white voters disapprove of Trump. Don’t even know whether the polls will change once more people hear that Trump knew about COVID, which hit AR very badly.
But, in a room of 20 white voters in AR, nearly 5 people disapprove of him.

In West Virginia (which, along with Oklahoma, were the only two states in which Trump won every county in the 2016 election), 29% of white voters disapprove of Trump. You might be outnumbered. But not alone. That’s nearly a third.

In that theoretical room of 20 randomly selected white people in West Virginia, about 6 of them disapprove of Trump. HINT: they’re probably not the loud ones. But they’re there. You’re outnumbered. But you’re certainly not alone.
I am focusing on white voters here because most of my Twitter friends who talk about being surrounded by Trump supporters are whites living in very Trump friendly areas. And also because white voters are the only ethnic group which Trump is winning with.
Siri: Why could that be?

It’s sort of interesting when you play around with the Civiqs poll settings though. Because if you filter by race, you see some interesting things.
Trump is losing with white voters in Iowa of all places. Trump is barely winning white voters in Alaska and Montana.

Bottom line: when people feel outnumbered, they don’t generally try to bring attention to themselves. There is no place in the country where there aren’t a lot of people, numerically, who disapprove of Trump.
There are a lot of people who feel that they’re alone. They’re not.
