why anitwt is literal garbage

I've wanted to make this for a while but I've finally made it and I want to talk about why I'm tired of this piece of shit side of the internet.

REASON 1: nobody can take a fucking joke

This shit has to stop. If someone says anything that anyone even slightly disagrees with they get cancelled, mass reported and universally hated. The block button exists for a reason, don't talk shit about people for attention.

and you may say I'm just saying this as someone who has been cancelled but I've thought this for a while now. It's toxic and ruins the accounts of people who were just trying to have fun.

And I often see people getting cancelled over things which the person cancelling could easily solve with a DM explaining why what they said was offensive. Like a guy I knew quit Twitter because he put his pronouns as "bro/bruh" and people got super offended because they got-

-cancelled, like seriously, he was reappy apologetic and regretful but continued to get death threats and hate when it could have been fixed with a DM.

REASON 2: politics

I'm gonna get a lot of shit for this but I'm tired of hearing about politics on here and people being shamed for their political ideologies, it's not cool. If someone believes something you don't believe in, why shame them, we're just here to discuss anime-

-not politics, it's honestly sickening to see people get hated so much when they say they don't want to here about politics on here. Anime and Anitwt is for escapism, not reality. If someone wanted reality they would have a political account.

and shit like this is the worst, stop acting so morally superior. There's no need to be political here, you don't see meme subreddits suddenly stopping everything to talk about an issue because you'll hear it where it belongs. outside of anitwt.

and I'm friends with tons of people on here who are way too right-wing or way too left-wing for my taste politically but it doesn't matter to me because I like talking about anime and manga with them, so let them be and let them have their opinions.

This is for anime. And if you want to talk about politics, sure whatever, I can't stop you, I don't like it but don't don't shame people for not wanting to get involved.

REASON 3: toxic fandoms.

This is a common reason but I'm sick of this shit. People within fandoms keep instigating fights with people within other fandoms by calling their favorite anime trash and it's just annoying. I used to do this but I now know how fucking stupid it is

REASON 4: no decent content

this side of twitter is just a barren wasteland in terms of actual content. If I was looking for comedic conversations or insightful discussions I'd go to Reddit, nothing here is even remotely worth looking at.

I see these accounts that get tons of attention for doing almost nothing, they say something like "drop your favorite AOT character" or something and get hundreds of likes and tons of attention despite not daying anything interesting or garnering any discussions-

-due to it being opinion centric. This has to stop. Everything on here is vapid nonsense, and on top of all that, nobody talks about anything besides the same few shonen anime/mangas, idk how many times a day I see someone telling their followers to read Chainsaw Man-

-Or watch Code Geass. We get it. Now tell us about an obscure anime/manga so I can find some personality in your profile full of generic tweets made for attention. At this point I just have my notifs on for like 30~ accounts and that's the only content I regularly check on on as-

-my timeline is full of nothing but garbage, and whenever I check if the problem has sorted itself out, it hasn't every time.

REASON 5: hate groups and people fueling hate groups on here

...and this barely begins to scratch the surface of the issues found here

CONCLUSION: Anitwt either needs serious change or moderation of some sort.

NOTE: people are gonna drop screenshots with me being hypocrite in relation to what I said here and I don't give a fuck, this is my opinion and nothing more.

and if you try to cancel me over this, you're just proving my point

just realized I forgot to add the evidence on REASON 5, just reply reqursting for it and i'll respond with my reasoning

I am ideologically left wing but don't associate with them nor the right due to them both having a plethora of issues
