If you have a vehicle you're going to evac in/may need to I suggest going through as many of theese things as you can as time allows:
-checking that all fluids are in good condition, and at appropriate levels

-tires are aired to the correct pressures and are in ok shape (no abnormal wear, damage, dry rot)

-Make sure you have an emergency roadside kit, booster box/jumper cables, and emergency tools, and that your spare tire is in good shape and aired to factory pressure

Get gas now, find your cheapest local fuel station, and fill up, and if applicable, and have the storage on the outside of your vehicle fill up any of your gas cans
Do not store gas cans inside your vehicle at any time!

-try to put heavier stuff toward the center of your car or as far toward the center of your vehicle as possible, this will help it remain stable under weight, and check your vehicles load capacity
