The BBC has announced that dancers in its hugely popular show “ Strictly Come Dancing” will no longer be allowed to do any left turns. Any dancer who does do a left turn in the choreography will be disqualified immediately. The new Dictator General feels that there has
Been far too many left turns in previous shows and wishes to redress the balance to ensure only right turns are promoted in the show. He feels that such left turns echo the lives of Lenin, Trotsky and Mother Theresa and wants to strike balance with spatial semiotics of Thatcher,
Hitler and Pinochet. To strengthen this shift, dancers may only dance in uniforms of right wing historical figures including Hitler, Thatcher, Pinochet, Lucretia Borges or any member of Franco’s or Vlad the Impaler’s entourage.
