On the day that we will #NeverForget I was in Little Rock, AR, my first home in the USA. It was a day after my birthday, and only 6 years after living through the war in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. 1/3
The memories of the war were still fresh, and I was petrified that my new adopted country would experience the horrors of war after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. I am grateful that that did not happen (on the US territory), and that the national tragedy united the country. 🇺🇲 2/3
I dream of seeing the citizens of our great country united again, living up to its motto "E Pluribus Unum" (From many, one.) and the promise that ALL (wo)men are created equal. 🙏🏻 3/3
