Woke up to a long email thread with a Klaviyo Expert ripping apart @Bento.
"I get the sense there is a lot of really good stuff under the hood - potentially way better than Klaviyo. But it still seems like it's at the prototype stage."
This type of feedback is so motivating.

Statements like these are kindly worded versions of "I found bugs, parts of the UI aren't clear at all, and I'm not sure how use the tool because things are different to what I'm used to".
Let's dig into this a little.

"I found bugs".
Just gotta go through screenshot by screenshot, @honeybadgerapp error by error, and patch it up.
Most of our issues are bred from moving quickly and breaking things like error messages, translations, etc.
This is the easiest point to work on.

Whilst @Bento is powerful af it's still, and quote from the email I got this morning, "way too technical for most email marketers".
So, time to simplify *everything* and try to make the features we designed for our power users accessible.

+ so much more needs to be done here.
"I'm not sure how to use the tool".
It's time to pull back from building and start doing a better job at teaching.
Upgrading docs, adding better in-app tooltips, and filming video tutorials need to jump to the top of the todo list.

For me, all I really ever wanted was to be *considered* as a competitor to Klaviyo, Drip, etc as a small, bootstrapped team.
This was the hardest bit of the journey so far.
Now, we're at fun part where every single day is focused on massaging the tool to be better.

All this to say, if there are any email marketing experts out there that are game to rip apart Bento for a few hours @ their hourly rate, then please hit me up.
Looking to pay for more of this feedback as it's so extremely valuable to me.
