Listening to press conference with @ClackCoSheriff and @clackamasfire. Arrests were made for arson the night before. Sheriff received hundreds of calls and claims that none of them were founded.

"There is a heightened alert of people calling in stuff, which is what we want. I can tell you, just over the night, that we had about 100 calls. Out of those 100 calls, all of those were determined to be unfounded."

"We created a detective unit combined with our office and the state police to look at each and every one of these. There's a lot of concerns about, is there arson? I can tell you, that not overnight, but the night before we did make some arrests."

"We really want people to call if they see ANY suspicious activity. We take all of those calls seriously and we are looking into it."

Q: There's been rumors that leftist groups have set these fires.
A: There's a lot of concern that there may be organized groups setting these fires. I can tell you that we have no evidence of that. And that's why I want to make sure we listen to each and every tip."

I'd like to reiterate again, that Oregon State Police have been federally deputized. Clackamas County just admitted to forming a joint force with federally deputized officers. Are the feds investigating these?
