[ why I think Levi Ackerman will survive - a thread ]
Levi is strong, we all know this.
He has overcome every obstacle he has faced from the moment he was born.
Because of this he has basically outlived every single person he has ever known.
He is essentially the embodiment of loneliness and loss within AOT.
BUT the reason he doesn’t give up despite how obviously heartbroken he is is because of the love that he has for the people around him.
He has made the promise to his fallen loved ones and comrades that their strength would live on through him.
He has said that he would carry the torch for them and give their lives meaning, so he will not give up until he has achieved that.
His biggest regret would be if everyone around him died in vain.
I understand the sentiment behind wanting Levi to die so that he can finally rest,
But I want him to find peace in his life which he has never known before.
Dying is not the only way for people to find peace, so saying this really doesn’t sit well with me.
There are people in real life who have had even worse lives than Levi but you wouldn’t go up to them and say “I hope you die so that you can finally know peace”
People struggle with ptsd and other mental health issues all the time, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t be happy
Levi has fought for so long so if he finds happiness within his own life
It would mean that he has given peace to everyone he has lost.
He has proven to them that there was more beyond the walls, beyond Marley.
He would finally be able to sit down and breathe for the first time.
