If you have concerns about which wrestlers the Japanese fans are supporting, I would encourage you to submit those concerns to the company where they work. In the last few days, multiple Japanese fans have received DMs & IG messages from fans berating & criticizing who (1/7)
they are excited to see in an upcoming tournament. As information about Speaking Out & the turbulent situation in western wrestling scenes are not available in Japanese, many fans in Japan are unaware of what happened. This is leading to well-intentioned mutuals sharing (2/7)
information without translation, and it's hurting & confusing people who aren't versed in the delicate wrestling climate outside of Japan. The information isn't available to them in their own language & machine translations or demanding Japanese-language proficient (3/7)
people to provide that service unwarranted is unfair & places people in the middle of an already volatile situation. With legal ramifications appearing for those directly involved in Speaking Out, those with the tasked with translating/interpreting could also be held liable (4/7)
should things eventually transition into legal proceedings. It's adding additional frustration within the fan community, so kindly direct your concerns to the company, & ask them to handle it. Yes, this approach is different from how things are handled in our own culture, (5/7)
but please understand this topic is one of many that is rarely spoken of, despite the society trying to make strides to change. We can't force them to change their culture & or how they communicate. Any concerns, especially with this delicate situation are best directed to (6/7)
the company. Please consider submitting your concerns that way, instead of overwhelming fans who genuinely don't know what has happened & have no resources available in their own language. Thank you. (7/7)
(Note: Where the wrestlers* work NOT the fans. ;) )
