Upon noticing someone following you /young person or have gut feeling that says “get home “ you point in the direction of the nearest house /safe place Wave like mad and shout “Uncle Kev !” You then run “with excitement “ towards “uncle Kev “ until you are near your /any house ..
This will deter the weird person as they assume you’re with an older family member and give you chance to make a call or knock on the door of that persons house until coast clear xXx works every time 
Hope it helps , tell your kids , choose random backstory/names , if you have another person with you drop in the fact Kevs a boxer too “OMG it’s Kev !! thought he was out boxing tonight ?”
