Mini-Thread on what I like to call “lazy media criticism” by people on TT

1) One can vehemently disagree with a reporter’s framing about a player/moment/story that’s happened in tennis, and that reporter does not need to lose his or her job

2) A single bad story written by...

any reporter should not lead to the condemnation of the entire tennis media

3) if you ARE going to criticize someone, have the gumption to name the reporter/story you take issue with. If I see one more “So many members of the media” broad-stroke painting BS tweet, I will explode

4) As someone trying to make a name in tennis media, there are things about the institution I’d clearly like to see changed. But there are also countless members of the tennis media with immeasurable wisdom to pass down

Please stop trying to dunk on them for cheap applause
