Sitting at Shake Shack earlier & the girl brings out food & drinks.

Gets to the table & proceeds to dump both drinks dead in my lap. My girlfriend starts laughing hysterically & after the initial shock to the cold, I did too.

The girl? Mortified.
I actually felt pretty bad for the girl because I could tell she felt horrible.

Honestly, I prefer to save my outrage for sports but the people sitting about 12 feet from us advised me that I should be upset & demand free meals.

Apparently mistakes can’t happen?
Long story short, the manager came out & to make it “right”. More than anything, it was a good laugh.

Pants can be washed. Mistakes happen but what I don’t get is why people choose to get upset about this stuff. Things happen.
When I went in to talk to the manager before we left to reiterate that I was fine & she simply made a mistake, the girl who did it was in the corner crying.

Maybe I’m just more laid back than most but sometimes it’s easier to show compassion rather than be a jerk.
Keep in mind, I’m not saying this for a pat on the back. Just saying that especially in the customer service industry, mistakes are more likely to happen than in other jobs.

Cut people some slack. It’s not an easy gig & they deal with more jerks than they should anyways.
