The Biden/DNC team raising a fuckton of $$ in August is great, & a credit to those teams' hard work.
And: They raised more money in August *alone* then every single Democrat running for state legislature has raised in all of 2020.

Biden winning in 2020 is mission-critical. But if we don't *also* win state chambers, the GOP will pass egregious voter suppression + gerrymander the congressional maps in 2021, then they'll retake the House in 2022, and that's it: End of whatever resembles functioning gov't.

We can't count on Biden's coattails. @runforsomething saw this in (unrelated) polling we did earlier this year & individual races are seeing it in polling now: Down-ballot Democrats have work to do. Make sure they have the resources to do it!
