A brief THREAD markng this 19th anniv of the 9-11 attacks. Research shows that babies still in t womb on ths terribly stressful day were affected by t stress their mothers coped with. Ths is how intergenrational trauma is transmitted. When an 'it' is over, it isn't always 'over'.

3. From a 2005 article in @newscientist: "Mothers who experienced PTSD due to the 9-11 attacks have been found to have children with abnormally low levels of cortisol. 7/end. 19 years ago today, t unpredicted event 9-11 changed t lives of many pregnant women. T effects of that stress lived on in their babes. 6 months ago, t unpredictd events of COVID struck another generation. The events for many will live on. SUPPORT MATTERS. Let's not forget.
