Nationalists and Logic

Think of oil and water?

They naturally repel each other

It’s the same with Nationalists and Logic

Let me explain

A few years ago the SNP supported Catalonia’s referendum on Independence. They did this despite it being illegal. Catalonia is an
2/

autonomous region of Spain, and has many devolved powers, but it’s still a region of Spain. Despite it just being a region, the SNP supported their quest for independence, despite it being a minority viewpoint

This makes for a very interesting scenario for Scotland
3/

Despite what the SNP say and no matter the result of next May’s election, there won’t be another Scottish referendum in this Parliamentary term. The Tories have already said as much. However, lets play a game

The recent Shetland islands quest to possibly seek independence
4/

from Scotland is very interesting. The SNP claim that they only need 50% plus 1 in a referendum to secede from the UK, but what happens to the regions that vote 50% plus 1 to remain in the UK?

If 50% plus 1 is enough for Scotland to secede from the UK then it’s only logical
5/

that any region that votes 50% plus 1 to remain in the UK be allowed to do so

Why would it be alright for Scotland as a whole but not for a region of Scotland?

The SNP have already made a case for a region breaking away from a country, when they supported the region of
6/

Catalonia in its desire for independence. They can’t logically support independence for a region of Spain but then deny the same independence to a region of Scotland

It’s totally illogical and totally wrong

I don’t think they’ve realised how much of a problem this creates
