#WalkAway "I moved to the US in 2000 from Brazil. I was 8 years old. On my first day of school in third grade (Long Island, NY) my teacher put up a picture of George W. Bush on the projector and though I didn’t even speak one word of English, I left school that day knowing

1/
that he was a bad man..... So you can imagine my confusion when he was elected president that same year.

I wasn’t a citizen yet in 2008 when Obama was running for president, but I would have voted for him if I could. I would have even voted for him in 2012.

2/
Sometime after that, I started to realize I’d been duped. Obama was creating more division than I’d ever seen in the country. He was defending criminals while turning his back on our police and fallen heroes. I found myself disagreeing with everything he was doing.

3/
The more I watched, the more it seemed like he hated this country.

By 2016 I was a full on conservative (still not a citizen) and so I still couldn’t vote, but Trump would have had my vote then.

4/
My mom, who was very liberal would have voted for Hilary. I’m not sure what happened but somehow her eyes were opened and before the election she became a Trump supporter too, along with my uncle (both were Never Trumpers) but I guess they realized Hilary was much worse.

5/
In 2018, my mom and I became American citizens under Trumps presidency.

In 2020, I’ve lost friends because of simple differences in opinions. Because I support the police. Because my opinions are unpopular. Because they don’t fit the narrative. Because I think for

6/
myself and do my own research instead of accepting what the media tells me. Because I don’t want the police defunded. Because I don’t see a destroyed business that someone put their entire life savings into as “just property.” Because I’m a Latina who supports Donald Trump.

7/
I grew up in a third world country where the opportunities that we have in this country didn’t exist. I see the good that is everywhere here. The light that others who have lived a life of privilege can not seem to see.

I see the brainwashing and the censoring of

8/
differing opinions. I see the division, the lies and the psychological manipulation tactics being used against the public. I see very clearly what President Trump is fighting against.

9/
This year will be the first time I can legally vote and I’m proud to say that it will be for Trump 2020." - S. 🇺🇸
