Friday 27th March was my last official day at work before the lockdown...
The first months were a blur
I felt a mixture of emotions
Aka the 5 stages of grief model

Stage 1 - DENIAL
With not having a respectful routine
The defense mechanism kicked in with an unwelcoming hint of numbness
Remember this is a normal reaction
Albeit counterproductive to change!

Stage 2 - ANGER
Like most people I was pissed off
With the everything and everyone
Most importantly my job for not having a contingency plan in place.
But seriously.... who did!?

Stage 3 - BARGAINING
As the vulnerabilities and helplessness sunk in deeper...
I started to consider the people who were still working at the company
"If only I came in earlier and left later, they would have seen my true value".
Living in the past was not the answer!

Stage 4 - DEPRESSION
With my partner working round the clock as a 'key worker' and restrictions tight
Dreaded isolation brought my dreams to a standstill, which was alien to me
I had to move pass this point carefully

Final Stage - ACCEPTANCE
This wasn't an uplifting moment
In fact, it felt more like admission
This came at the same time I officially joined Money Twitter
I found a reason to push back the negative and open myself up to new possibilities

However I was given a life line...
Due to reconstructing, 1 centralised roles has been newly created

3. Stripped back the new role JD
3. Followed my interviewers on LinkedIn
4. Set up Bluejeans video call ready
5. Suited & booted
READY
