If you're good a crafting FOI requests, you can have a lot of fun with Wandsworth Council right now:
> what LTN funding was requested?
> who signed-off plans?
> what LTNs were "imposed"?
> How does an LTN review take 24 hours?
> How many complaints, from what post code areas?
etc
> what LTN funding was requested?
> who signed-off plans?
> what LTNs were "imposed"?
> How does an LTN review take 24 hours?
> How many complaints, from what post code areas?
etc
... **ck it, just ask for copies of all emails and other correspondence between Wands BC, officers & leadership, councillors, TfL, DfT regarding LTNs and the A24 #CS7 cycle route.
For those considering FOI requests, this Wandsworth Conservative councillor confirms there is a rich seam of traffic data, analysis, correspondence with blue lights & residents (no doubt evidenced with addresses) that can be obtained from the council
For those considering FOIs with a narrow focus, maybe ask for the correspondence between TfL and Wands BC regarding the LTNs:
> Wands' Tory councillors claim they were "imposed";
> Will Norman says TfL says they were decided by Wands BC without liaison.
Both can't be true.
> Wands' Tory councillors claim they were "imposed";
> Will Norman says TfL says they were decided by Wands BC without liaison.
Both can't be true.
(Ah, turns out the #LTNs were *not* imposed on Tory Wandsworth Council by TfL ... they were the council's decision.
H/T Wandsworth's independent cllr @MalcolmGrimston for a very interesting thread.
PS The A24 #CS7 changes by TfL would have had Wands BC's blessing)
