I'll never forget the pure hate Muslim students received in my "liberal progressive" #NYC middle school post 9/11

Morning of 9/11 @ my #NYC middle school?

Kids somehow "knew" Bin Laden had done it.

They didn't fully know what "it" was.

Or who Bin Laden was.

But no Muslim kid in our school was treated the same again.

99% of kids called them Bin Laden , terrorists etc

or *let it happen*

People threw eggs at and peed on the Mosque by my #NYC middle school after 9/11

The NYPD would go on to unconstitutionally spy on that Mosque and tons of others like it throughout #NYC
