Importantly, they recognise that changes may have to be made "in order to protect the health, welfare and safety of students and staff OR to follow the advice of local or national authorities" [my emphasis].

Conclusion: there is plenty scope to push back against the "but the Three-Letter-Abbreviations who accredit our degrees say we have to do the Dangerous Thing" argument, if you should happen to hear it from management.
